Error Checking

Ask Crunched to “run an error-check” to activate the sophisticated and proprietary mistake-detection system which will flag linking, logical and conceptual mistakes. Crunched’s error-checking system analyzes your spreadsheet for:
  • Linking errors: Broken or incorrect cell references
  • Logical errors: Formulas that don’t make sense in context
  • Conceptual mistakes: Structural issues in your model

Example Usage

"Run an error-check on the DCF sheet"
"Check for errors in the entire workbook"
"Review the formulas in cells B10:B50 for any mistakes"

Model Understanding

Ask Crunched questions about drivers or structure of the model to quickly get up to speed in handovers or when reviewing someone else’s work.

What You Can Ask

  • Formula explanations: “What does the formula in cell C15 do?”
  • Model structure: “Explain the structure of this LBO model”
  • Driver analysis: “What are the key revenue drivers in this forecast?”
  • Data sources: “Where does this output get its inputs from?”

Example Usage

"Explain how the debt schedule works in this model"
"Walk me through the revenue build in the Forecast sheet"
"What assumptions drive the valuation in cells F20:F30?"
Model understanding is especially useful during handovers or when you need to quickly review a colleague’s work before a client call.
